Remove-CIVAppTemplate

This cmdlet removes the specified vApp template.

Syntax

-VAppTemplate  <CIVAppTemplate[]>
[-RunAsync]
[-Server  <CIServer[]>]

Parameters

  • Specifies the vApp template that you want to remove.

    RunAsync
    SwitchParameter named Indicates that the command returns immediately without waiting for the task to complete. In this mode, the output of the cmdlet is a Task object. For more information about the RunAsync parameter, run "help About_RunAsync" in the VMware PowerCLI console.

    Server
    CIServer[] named Specifies the cloud servers on which you want to run the cmdlet. If no value is provided or $null value is passed to this parameter, the command runs on the default servers. For more information about default servers, see the description of the Connect-CIServer cmdlet.

    Example 1

    $ciConnection = Connect-CIServer -Server cloud.example.com -Name MyAdmin -Password MyPassword
    Remove-VAppTemplate -RunAsync -VAppTemplate 'MyVApp*' -Server $ciConnection

    Removes asynchronously all vApp templates with names starting with MyVApp.

    Example 2

    Get-CIVAppTemplate -Name 'MyTemplate' -Catalog (Get-Catalog 'MyCatalog') | Remove-CIVAppTemplate

    Removes the specified template from the specified catalog.
